1. Take blade out. Hold saya tightly
facing cutting edge up, and pull tsuka out of saya gently, and
slide mune along the saya.

Just before tip comes out, dropl
saya down a little and pay great attention to pull out the tip.

2. Use mekuginuki and push out mekugi.

3. Hold tsuka tightly facing mune up and and tip looking up.

Hit the back of the holding hand (around the joint of thumb).
Hit softly ! Put strength in parallel to blade.
 
Hold root of tang and pull out. Be careful not to touch the blade.

Keep mekugi properly, don't loose it !
